Easy Chocolate Pedha

I have often spoken about my memorable Diwali memories here. Amidst the many sweets that were exchanged between friends and family, chocolate burfi or pedha always caught my attention. Looking back I can think of many reasons for this-traditional Indian chocolate based treats were not as commonplace as they are now in the 1980s and 1990s, it looked different and unique to my young eyes and it tasted good.

This Diwali, I'm looking forward to some fun times with my family as Hari and I will be travelling to my parents place and meeting the rest of the famjam. As I was thinking of what recipe to put up, this chocolate pedha came to mind as I wanted to offer a quick, easy and delicious recipe for those of us who don't want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. And for those, who want to prepare some elaborate sweets and treats, I urge you to look into my Diwali recipe section.

These days a lot of treats are available for purchase so easily and one can order a variety of sweets and snacks online, from nearby stores or from the neighbourhood home caterer. The best part is that we have both options and can decide and choose based on our preferences and convenience.
