Tag: Ayurvedic Cooking
As I have been studying and incorporating the basic tenets of ayurvedic cooking for many years, I thought it pertinent to include this category on divinetaste! However do keep in mind that this is a very basic and general classification. The recipes feature traditional Indian and Vedic cooking ingredients and styles as most of the food cooked in traditional Indian vedic households incorporate the intrinsic rules of ayurveda. At times, a western recipe using traditional ingredients may find its way here too! All the recipes follow basic ayurvedic guidelines like avoiding incompatible food combinations (eg mixing milk and salt, etc). These recipes are good for general health when all the doshas (kapha (water), pitta (fire), vata (air) are in balance. However, if you are looking for more detailed explanation for particular diseases, it best to consult a good ayurvedic physician.
